Weather update: Tropical Storm Helen to make landfall

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the Tropical Storm Helen is estimated at Aurora.

As of the 4 AM weather bulletin, Tropical Storm "HELEN" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 310 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.6°N 125.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 15 kph.

Moderate and heavy rains is expected in the western parts of Luzon.

Signal number 2 was raised to the following areas:

• Isabela
• Cagayan

While signal number 2 was hoisted to the following provinces:

• Quirino
• Aurora
• Ifugao
• Abra
• Kalinga
• Apayao
• Mt. Province
• Ilocos Norte
• Nueva Vizcaya
• Babuyan
• Calayan Group of Islands
• Batanes Group of Islands
