Badminton Athletes Removed from Olympics for Trying to Loss

Eight Badminton female athletes coming from three countries were kicked of the Olympics games for trying to lose.

The players include four from South Korea, two from China, and two from Indonesia.

According to the committee, the athletes were trying to lose by making service faults and mistakes during the game in order to gain a greater position and avoid their team mates.

They’re serving fault and fault! They are just hitting the ball into the net! They are both trying to lose, and that is unforgivable. This is the Olympic Games.

Athletes were separated with this decision, some found it strategical and didn't see something wrong about that, while some agreed with the decision and said that the "Olympic spirit is not there".

One of the removed athlete, Yu Yang, who got the punishment apologized through a Chinese State news program. She said: " To all the badminton fans and friends over yesterday's game, because we did not comply with the Olympic spirit, and did not deliver a match with our true level to the audience, the fans and the friends".

She also added that she might retire from the sport.
