"The Crew" from the Philippines Wins 2012 Hip Hop Dance Competition

The Crew which is composed of alumni from the University of the Philippines bagged the first prize from the 2012 World Hip Hop Competition.

The Crew bested all other contestants coming from 43 countries in the competition in Las Vegas, Nevado on Sunday (Monday in Manila).

Mexico ends second, while America lands in third place.

One of the member said: "It’s a miracle. We didn’t really expect it. Mahal namin ‘yung ginagawa namin. Even if wala talagang sumusuporta sa amin, gagawa kami ng paraan to be here, para lumipad to represent our country and para talaga gawin ‘to. Mahal namin ‘yung sayaw, mahal namin si God."

On the other hand, the UP StreetDance Clubwon the bronze medal in the MegaCrew category of the World Hip Hop Dance Championship.
