Apple scores over Samsung

An US jury ruled over the patent battle between Samsung and Apple in favor of the American company.

A jury in San Josw, California awarded $1.049 billion to Apple. BUt, according to some analysts this can come triple because jurors found that Samsung willfully infringed on patents.

The 9-person jury sided in favor of Apple about their claim that Samsung copied "those and other design to compete with iPhone and iPad".

Samsung, a South Korean firm said that this is not a win by Apple, but a loss of American consumers. The representative added that patent laws are now manipulated.
Today’s verdict should not be viewed as a win for Apple, but as a loss for the American consumer.
It is unfortunate that patent law can be manipulated to give one company a monopoly over rectangles with rounded corners, or technology that is being improved every day by Samsung and other companies… Samsung will continue to innovate and offer choices for the consumer.
According to a market expert, as of now, this verdict has no change in consumer preferences and both companies are still leaders in smart phones and tablets.
