Secretary Robredo's plane crashes

The five-seater plane carrying the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Jesse Robredo crashed through the sea of Masbate.

Rebredo along with his crew were about to go to Masbate for a rescue operation. According to the DILG's Twitter account, the plane, a Cessna 172 crashed 3 kilometers in the Masbate Bay. The mayor of Masbate, Vince Revil one survivor was found and he was the aide of the secretary.

As of now, Robredo and the rest of his crew were not yet found and the rescue operation continues.

According to reports, the pilot of Robredo's plane sent a distress call and asked for emergency landing to the Masbate airport, but failed.

It is suspected that engine failure caused the plane crashed.
