The last hope for an Olympic gold is now eliminated.
BMX rider Daniel Caluag was unable to advance to the semis of the BMX event. On Wednesday, Caluag finished lastin his heat with only 29 points.
The Filipino athlete who went the furthest was boxer, Mark Barriga who abolished his Italian foe. But, he was defeated by the boxer from Kazakhstan, but it's a little controversial after the referee gave a penalty point to Barriga despite no warnings were made.
Other Filipino athletes who competed for the Olympics were archers Rachelle Anne Cabral and Mark Javier, Judoka Tomohiko Hoshina, runner Rene Herrera, long jumper Marestella Torres, Weightlifter and Hidilyn Diaz.
It's the fourth time in Olympics that Philippines haven't won any medal in Olympics.
