World's tallest mohawk set

A 40-year-old Japanese fashion designer showed off his mohawk at the New York City Park on Wednesday to launch the 2013 Guiness Book of World Record.

Kazuhiro Watanabe's hair set the record for the "Tallest Mohawk" that was previously set by Stefan Srocka of Germany. Since 2001 Watanabe already broke the record, but will only be included in this 2013 edition.

The hair of Watanabe measured at 3 feet amd 8.6 inches or 1.13 meters high. It took him 15 years to grow.

"It was a lot of work ... but I am happy to have achieved the world's No 1", Watanabe said via interview.
