According to the LRTA spokesperson Atty. Hernando Cabrera, the woman gave birth at the LRT's Central Station platform at 1:05 PM.
Anita Paz, 37, a resident of Sampaloc, Manila was walking in the platform of the LRT when her water broke. Another passenger, Amelita Clemenia, a cargiver was standing nearby. Clemenia with her companion, Iris Bacolod, assisted Paz in giving birth.
Right on the platform, Paz gave birth successfully.
Paz and her child were brought to the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital in Sta. Cruz, Manila. According to a Twitter post by Cabrera, Paz gave "Jeb" as a name for the boy.
