A suicide airs by Fox live

Fox apologizes for airing a car chase that resulted into the alleged carjacker committing a suicide live on TV.

The shoot from a helicopter started with the red car rushing on a highway and pulled over in a desert-near Phoenix. Then, the man get out off his car, run about few meters and shot himself.

The coverage on Friday incident took the social media via storm and a quick apology by one of their anchors Shepard Smith.
Well, some explaining to do. While we were taking that car chase and showing it to you live, when the guy pulled-over and get out of his car, we were on delay. So, we didn't talk for about 10 seconds, we created a 5-second delay. If you were able to bleep back your DVR, 5 seconds, that's what we did with the picture we were showing you. So, we would see in the studio what was happening 5-seconds before you did, so if everything went horribly wrong, we'd be able to cut-away from it, without subjecting you to it. And, we really messed-up and we're all very sorry.
Michael Clemente, Fox's executive vice president for news editorial also apologized and said that this was caused by a "severe human error".

The Phoenix Police Department identified the man as Jodon F. Romero, 33. Authorities said he fired at police officers and the police helicopters at one point. He died at the spot, because of self-inflicted gun wounds.
