Sotto's transition is still plagiarism -UP prof

A University of the Philippines (UP) professor said that the act of Senator Tito Sotto of translating a 1966 speech of Kennedy is an act of plagiarism.

Luis V. Teodoro, in an interview by the ABS-CBN News translating the works of someone is an act of plagiarism.

He also said that there are laws governing plagiarism and copyright infringement. He added that there are maybe  a "culture of impunity" and "breach of ethics" in Sotto's actions.
Siguro walang demanda kasi ang assumption, senador ako. May culture of impunity na: ‘I can get away with anything kung walang law.’ It’s unethical.
He also suspected that some of Sotto's staff don't fully understant the meaning of plagiarism.

On the other hand, senators like Juan Ponce Enrile and Bong Bong Marcos believe that the plagiarism issue is not a thing that the senate should focus.
