In an interview by the ABS-CBN News, Reyes, 21 said that she and her friend were just outside the auditorium and were just waiting for a friend after watching an awarding ceremony of a film festival when a group of girls approached them.
"'Hi! Anong ginagawa mo dito?' Akala ko naman friendly approach lang, maya maya inispreyan na ko. Ewan ko kung anong spray yun. Basta masakit sa balat," she said.
Then, one stabbed her on her stomach, then the others were stabbing her at her back causing her to fall on her knees.
"Unang saksak kasi dito sa tiyan. Napakapit ako sa kanya, tapos may isa pang sumaksak sa likod ko, hanggang sa napaluhod na ako."
The medical records shows that she got five stabs at her back, one on her head and one on her stomach that have punctures her intestine.
The authorities already determined the name of one of the suspects and will be facing frustrated murder charges along with four unknown suspects.
The FEU officials promised that they will coordinate with authorities for further investigations.
