Pido Jarencio calls UAAP referees biased

UST Men's Basketball Pido Jarencio called the officiating team of the Game 1 of the UAAP Season 75 finals "biased".

The UST lost to Ateneo 83-75.

In an interview after the game, Jarencio told the reporters that the referees should be fair in giving fouls referring to the fifth foul that the UST star player Karim Abdul got duirng the fourth quarter.

I'm not against Ateneo, pero ang sinasabi ko, bakit ganoon?"

But, the stats of the game shows conflicts about the claims of Jarencio. The Tigers were called with 17 total fouls while the Eagle were called with 21. Morever, the UST got 26 free throws while Ateneo only got 12.

During the fourth quarter as specified by Jarencio, UST got 10 free throw attempts scoring 6 while  Ateneo only scored 1.

Jarencio also pointed that the referres should have given Jeric Teng the free throws as he was fouled while trying to give a three-point shot with referees signalling foul before the last buzzer.
