Lebanese airline employee fired due to racist comments

A female Lebanese employee was fired due to racist comments over the Filipino passengers.


A letter published through his Facebook account, businessman and witness to the even Aben Shaheen said that the foreign passengers (Filipinos) were acting normally at the Beirut International Airport when he lady ground staff working for MEAG ranted through a loud speaker "Filipino people stop talking” that echoed all over the ground and followed by "Filipino Nepal people talking not allowed here" while giggling with a "macho man".

He added that when he approached them about the remarks she said "we do whatever we want and we don’t care about what you are saying" and added “management doesn’t even want this kind of people on the flight. Even if you complain this will be thrown away and we dare you to do anything about it." The "macho man" beside the lady even threatened him to void his ticket.

He filed a formal complaint about the incident at the Arabia Airlines.

As his letter was published, the netizens reached Beirut International Airport and have decided to end the contract of the lady ground staff.
