KZ Tandingan is the winner of X-Factor Philippines

The Finale of the X-Factor Philippines held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Pagcor Theater reveals that KZ Tandingan was the winner.

KZ, a 21-year-old from Digos came from the Girl's Category under Charice Pempengco.

Ms. Tandingan bested other 2 acts Gabrielle Maturan and Daddy's Home garnering 55.45% of the total votes.

Tandigan burst into tears when declared as the winner and thanked people for supporting her claiming that she's a proof that singing competitions are not only for belters.

Tandingan took home P4 million and a contract with Star Music while Maturan and Daddy's Home took P100,000 and P50,000 respectively.

Tandingan, who had a throat problems when she was a kid was an early favorite as during the auditions she wowed everyone with her very unique rendition of the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
