Planet made of diamond discovered

A journal published by the Yale University and National Center for Scientific Research in France (CNRS) revealed that a planet orbiting a sun was made of diamond.

The 55 Cancri e was considered as the "Super Earth", because of it's mass that is 8-times than earth's and twice the radius of our home planet.

A planet primarily made of carbon and has an earth-sized layer that is made of diamond.

"The diamonds you would find on the surface and in the crust of this planet would be just like you would find on Earth, except very pure," said Nikku Madhusudha, an astrophysicist at Yale who led the new study of the planet 55 Cancri e. "As you went in deeper toward the core, you might find other types of diamonds, potentially even in liquid form," he added.

The planet was suspected to have liquid diamond due to it's hot surface that is reaching 3,900 degrees Fahrenheit (1,648 Celsius).

For people thinking about gathering diamonds on this place, think twice. This is about 40 light years and 230 trillion miles away from America.
