UP Pep dominates UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2012

The University of the Philippines Cheering Squad (UP Pep) bagged the Samsung UAAP Cheerdance (2012) that was held at the Mall of Asia Arena on September 22.

For taking the first place this all-shaved-hair squad took home P340,000.00, medals, trophy and the honors. 

The Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad settled for 1st runner-up bagging P200,000.00, while the National University (NU) Cheer Squadron banged the 2nd runner-up slot with P140,000.00 prize.

UP dominated the competition. They are also hailed as the champion for the group stunt competition and their female member was hailed as the "Stunner of the Year".

According to the ABS-CBN News, University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe was ranked 4th, followed by the De La Salle Animo Squad at 5th, Ateneo’s Blue Babble Battalion (6th), the University of the East (UE) Pep Squad (7th) and the  Adamson Pep Squad in 8th place.
