Apl.de.ap, Anne Curtis and Gerald Anderson are National Peace Ambassador

Kapamilya stars and an international singing sensation were named by the Malacañang as the National Peace Ambassador.

The Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peaace Process (OPPAP) tapped international recording artist Apl.de.ap, actress-host Anne Curtis and actor Gerald Anderson as the peace envoys of the country.

Presidential Adviser on the peace process Teresita Deles said that the appointment of the three will be tomorrow during the launch of the "I am for Peace".

"I am for Peace" is one of the major campaigns of the OPAPP for this year's month celebration with the theme "Ako. Ikaw. Tayo. Magkakaiba. Nagkakaisa sa Kapayapaan". This is also in the celebration of the peace talks between the government and and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front which will be soon signed.

Deles added that national peace ambassadors include local celebrities like Megan Young, Mikael Daez, Ramon Bautista, Noel Cabangon, Ebe Dancel, Datu Khomeini Bnsuan, Christian Bautista, Sam Concepcion, Karylle, Gloc 9, Arnold Galang, Fashion Design Council of the Philippines led by JC Buendia, Kiray Celis, Igi Boy, Rovilson Fernandez and the members of the Philippine Azkals.
