House Minority Leader Danilo Suarez said that Mrs. Arroyo wanted to be re-elected, but she was thinking about her health condition. In case her condition didn't go well, Luli might run in replacement.
The former president is filing her (CoC) certificate of candidacy next week. She is seeking re-election. But if her health does not improve, (Mrs. Arroyo’s daughter) Luli will probably run (in her district).
From October 1-5, the Commission on Election (Comelec) will start accepting CoC of local and national candidates for the mid-term elections in May next year.
According to reports, Mrs. Arroyo's condition is getting worse and doctors advised her to wear a soft-collared neck brace.
