The protest claims that the ball was still in the hand of the FEU player RR Garcia when the time turns into zero.
On Tuesday, UAAP Commissioner Ato Badolato junked the letter of protest.
But, the whole UAAP board decided against Badolato. The decision was made via a meeting held on Friday at the Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan.
Because of the pieces of evidence/ statements/ video used in the deliberation was inconclusive and unclear and most of the points brought up showed that time had expired before the ball was fully released, the UAAP board unanimously upheld the appeal of NU for a replay of the game. With the decision, a replay with be held, tentatively on September 23 and the statistics and team standing are reset back before the Sunday's game.
Via a phone interview by Baculi, he said that the whole NU community is happy with the verdict.
The FEU Sports officials has yet to comment with the decision.
