Court Allows GMA to Post Bail

The Pasay Regional Trial Court (RTC), on July 25 allowed the former president now congressman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to post bail against the electoral sabotage case against her.

The same day, Arroyo availed the P1 million bail and prepared to leave the Veterans Memorial Medical Center. Footage shows obvious happiness on Arroyo while she was leaving the hospital along with her relatives.

In an interview with the daughter of the former president, Luli Arroyo-Bernas said that her family is very happy right now and the bail just proved that justice will still prevail. She also insisted that her mom is innocent.

Arroyo, 65, was arrested and now under hospital arrest after she was charged with electoral sabotage, which is punishable with life imprisonment.
